have been at Walsall for the past six seasons initially as
a youth coach but on several occasions I have moved up to
assist at first team level. I have always insisted that my
work within youth football gives me more satisfaction due
to the honestly and desire of the youngsters, who you can
hopefully help to progress to players of the future.
In that time I have always linked into Mark's academy,
having worked with him prior to joining Walsall. I have
always been impressed by the work being carried out within
the academy and the fact the players enjoy it. It is always
a pleasure to come and work with the coaches and players
giving me the opportunity to assess any players that may
have been recommended by Mark. Due to this link, we as a club have been able to find
players and help them progress up to professional status,
notably Ryan Willetts and Daryl Taylor who have just signed
forms for our club. I hope to be associated with the academy for many more
years to come, helping to find more players for the future. <<Back |
